An integrated practice of art, equity, and ancestral medicine. Helping communities find their way home to belonging.

I have spent over 50 years learning that belonging is a practice, not a destination. For a long time, I saw my life as separate chapters—artist, designer, teacher, organizer. Today, I view my work as a single, integrated practice: I use the eye of a designer and the heart of a healer to build bridges where there were once only canyons. Based in rural Colorado with my husband, Mark, and our dog, Duncan, I serve as a community member and relative dedicated to the safety, power, and sovereignty of rural communities, Indigenous peoples, and our youth.

My work is rooted in the Power of the Prism. I believe we are only as strong as our willingness to stand together; like a prism, it takes all of us to break apart the light and produce the beautiful colors of a healthy community. Whether I am leading grassroots efforts like the Partnership for Community Action (PfCA), coordinating the Colorado 2SLGBTQIA+ Rural Coalition, or designing curricula for protection and health equity, my goal is to facilitate a space where we can collectively find our way forward. I don't bring solutions from the outside; I help us find the truth already held in our own hearts.

Everything I do is held by The Medicine. Drawing from my lineage and 30+ years as a "creative activist," I practice art and organizing in the spirit of bearing witness—staying present with the world exactly as it is. From the "root system" of my 25 years in youth mentorship to my advocacy for the land and spirit, my practice is a way of being rather than a service. I walk between worlds to help others reconnect, heal, and finally find their own path home.
